About me

Having experienced personal difficulties with anxiety and burnout several years ago I made the decision to find a Counsellor. I saw and felt the power in talking therapy and in doing so experienced personal growth and was able to heal.

I have 18 years experience in Social Care and the NHS in secondary mental health services with adults in the community, hospital and hospice settings. The experience of working with people from all backgrounds who have faced different challenges due to their personal circumstances has given me a foundation for my counselling practice.

I have experience of supporting people in their homes and within care facilities. I have provided support for family members who become their loved one’s carers.

Due to my experience, I can hold space for people who are experiencing the symptoms of dementia or other diagnosis and for their loved ones too. If you feel you or your loved one need someone to talk to about the challenges please do make contact, I would be happy to provide a listening ear.

My time in those roles taught me everyone has their story that leads them to needing support and working as a counsellor has enabled me to create time and space to explore with people what has caused distress and emotional discomfort.

So, if any of this resonates with you, let us connect to help you move towards, a deeper understanding of self, growth and building your confidence through humanistic therapy.

Recently, I volunteered at a North Devon Secondary School with children 16+ and I currently volunteer as a Counsellor for the charities Clarity and North Devon Against Domestic Abuse.
